Scope of
expertise
From Design to
Digital Prototyping!
We
are using Autodesk Inventor software to create a single digital model
that gives our engineers the ability to design, visualize, and simulate the
products. It enables us to create a digital prototype, helping us and you
to reduce costly physical prototypes and get more innovative designs to
market faster.

What is a
digital prototype?
A
digital prototype is a digital simulation of a product that can be used
to test form, fit, and function. The digital prototype becomes more and
more complete as all associated industrial, mechanical, and electrical
design data are integrated. A complete digital prototype is a true
digital representation of the entire end product and can be used to
visualize and simulate a product to reduce the necessity of building
expensive physical prototypes and will reduce the time to market.
Our staff’s expertise incorporates
‘MECHATRONIC’ technology. In the fields of, mechanical
design, hydraulics, electro, electronics and FEM analysis.
There-by ensuring that our Customers receive the latest
advancements available for our projects and their special performances.
In our staff we find skills like:
·
Mechanical engineers, Design and FEM analyses
·
Electro and electronics engineers, control system,
zone 2 offshore
·
Hydraulic engineers
·
Skills in safety a rice analyses
·
Skills in documentations
·
Project management
What can we do
for you?
We
can help you with you tasks from a simple design and verification of a
component, to a complex machine with mechanics, hydraulics and electro in
an integrated system, Mecatonic.
Background
Engineering-Support
AS is based on more than 30 years of experience in design
and production of lifting and recovery equipment, onshore and
offshore. More than 700 ship cranes delivered from MoelvenAS. The staff mainly comes from this Moelven
Hägglunds.
•Moelven AS was established more than 100 years ago,
and was split in several divisions in 1970. One of the divisions was Moelven mechanical division.
Moelven Mechanical was split to marine and defence products 1987
•Marine
products transferred to Bulklift in 1988 - 89
•Defense
division sold to Swedish Hägglunds in 1989 and
changed name to Alvis Moelv
as in 2001
•Alvis Moelv closed
in June – 2004
Engineering-Support AS established 2004
Here
are a few examples of our projects:
|
Marine
Moelven as mechanical division developed and built
the first deck crane in 1969
The first cranes was based on a systematic
design concept with the same basic geometrical configuration.
Delivered
with diesel or electro hydraulic power pack.
The
twin crane developed in 1977 was two single independent operated crane
units or as twin on slew able point base. Fore and aft travelling
gantry.
Moelven delivered 60 cranes before the
mechanical division was split in 1988 The marine
division was transferred to Bulklift as.
In
2004 Bulklift started the new cooperation
with Engineering Support as
and the companies established CHS
nor.
And
a total of 30 years solid experience in designing and producing deck and offshore cranes
is recreated.
Machinery
The De-icer designed and produced in
cooperation with SAS.
Moelven Mechanical also designed and produced
trailers for the Norwegian agricultural market and mobile cranes (MK
692 - MK 693 and MK 694) in cooperation with Volvo.
Defence
Moelven Industries started with designing and
manufacturing boggy trailers to the Norwegian army. Mobile cranes MK
692, MK 693 and MK 694 was constructed and produced in cooperation with
Volvo.
From
the civil mobile crane production came the
competence to design and deliver heavy rescue cranes for the defence market.
Moelven had a wide range of trailers and
rescue cranes when the defence division was
sold to Swedish Hägglunds in 1988.
The
name changed to Alvis Moelv
PCL in 2001.
Alvis Moelv PCL
closed in June 2004
Engineering
Support as started june 2004
The employees
in Engineering Support AS are recruited from the Moelven
mechanical division and represents over 30 years of experience in
designing and producing defence equipment.
